November means it's time for Wurstfest, the annual 11-day salute to sausage in New Braunfels! During the first weekend, Barbara, Michelle B., Matt, Michelle K., and I hit the road for a few hours of eating and drinking, German style. (Yes, this small group had two Michelles). We also met up with Barbara and Michelle B.'s mom and her friend Beverly, who drove in from San Antonio.

After drinking lots of beer and dining on the wurstkabob, a sampler with five kinds of sausage(!), some of us took a ride on the ferris wheel. I couldn't convince anyone to go on anything wilder, like the spinning ride some of us took 5 years ago.
