With all the 40th birthdays we had in 2009, another low-key New Year's Eve seemed somehow appropriate. Trish and Brian hosted the festivities, which featured the Virginia Tech bowl game, the card game Apples to Apples (which I won!), and a succulent wild pig cooked up by Brian. John C. had shot the pig the week before near San Saba and given it to Trish and Brian.
